" . . . And I tell you, ask for strength. Let all those who
serve with the Messenger in any part of the world and on this

"Beloved ones, you have a great treasure-house in your Causal
Body. But I tell you, your own Holy Christ Self is reticent to
unleash that substance to you for concern that you will go and
misuse it again.
"And therefore enter into a trust with Portia that you might
know God-Justice and all prudence and that you might know that
none of the things of this world are worth spending that supply
of your Causal Body on—only the things of the Spirit, only
those things that contribute to your fulfillment of your divine
plan, to the fulfillment of your mission upon earth [are worth
it].
"And therefore know that the supply
that comes forth from your Causal Body is limited, for you have
placed there but a limited amount of momentum of the multiplication
of the loaves and fishes on this planet. And therefore the gold
of your Causal Body won, hard won by you, must be treasured as
something you use only for the furtherance of the kingdom of God
within your being and your own adeptship and your own God Self-mastery."

and giving more again, and seeing how God does replenish your
life tenfold, and manifold more, as you continue on the path of
the givingness of self."

"Beloved ones, all of this is the lie that we have not provided
you and this organization with sufficient material to create such
an abundance, such a release of Light to the co-workers as for
the building of the entire Inner Retreat.
"The gold mine is here. It does not have
to be sought and found. There is no need for merchandising in
the marts of the world. There is a need for intense practicality
in the presentation and packaging of the most interesting information
and subjects and lectures and sermons that are going forth on
the planetary body at this time.
" . . . may you propose what you will do
and may we then bring your proposals before the Lords of Karma.
And may we then state what is our request, based on the realism
of the hour and your positioning of yourselves, as to what we
will take as our responsibility.
"We proceed with joy and the caution of
experience that we must ask for those things of the Solar Logoi
and the Elohim of which we may be certain there will be a fulfillment
and a victory and therefore not result in a situation of the costliness
of karma that does therefore affect the next and the next opportunity
for our service.
"We would rather that you yourselves be
the daring ones, that you go forth and see what you will do and
let us be the ones who respond. This is as it should be, for the
Wise One, Lord Sanat Kumara, has said to me this very week,
"'Saint Germain, you have been the champion.
And when you have been in physical embodiment, those who are now
a part of our activity on earth were benefited by your service
and were advanced in their learning. Saint Germain, let them now
come to center stage with the same courage that you had. Let them
take on the responsibilities which you were so willing to take
on when you were in physical incarnation and when you were the
Wonderman of Europe, as you indeed are today the Wonderman of
this world.'
"Beloved hearts, he said to me that I must
let you play your part and that I must add to it and multiply
it and must have, as they say, from you 'money in the bank' by
way of the assuring of the loan that I would then secure from
the cosmic bank. Beloved ones, this is to say that there is a
tremendous quantity of light that is available to me now in the
great treasury of the Central Sun
—a quantity of light that has been abuilding by cosmic beings
proportionately as you have called the violet flame for the balancing
of this accumulated karma.
"Therefore, the substance of light is there.
It is there on demand. And I am instructed to demand it as you
present and show the most effective, workable, and successful
programs for delivering this message to the world and for the
building of the Inner Retreat.
"In anticipation of the Light going forth,
we have designated the Inner Retreat as a place that must be secure,
must be the highest focus in the earth. For, you see, when the
light goes forth it cannot be fully predicted what the response
will be from the world and humanity. If these responses are an
aggravation and a reaction creating a planetary chemistry that
results in some world changes, it is necessary that the equivalent
of the Great Central Sun Magnet be somewhere on earth."

"How to Think & Grow Rich" by Napoleon
Hill
The book (about far more than just wealth, so don't let the title
fool you) is called How to Think and Grow Rich, and it is by far
one of the most personally influential I have ever read . . .
in fact it was one of the most motivating and practical books
I read to provide me with the confidence and skills I need to
achieve the mission of my life. This is a book that I have read
many times and one that I would also encourage you to read.
I am so convinced this book will help you make
profoundly important changes in your life, too, that it comes
with the absolute highest recommendation I could ever give a book.
You could buy it on Amazon.com for $13.57.
This amazing book's other fans include many of
the most well known "names" who reached the top in business,
art, sports, politics, activism, health, motivational speaking,
and more. How to Think and Grow Rich has sold many millions of
copies and, without formal advertising, continues to sell at remarkable
levels because of word-of-mouth—undoubtedly it has also
been key to helping millions of others without prominent names
achieve their most important goals.
"Before success comes in anyone's
life, they are sure to meet with much temporary defeat and perhaps
some failures. When defeat overtakes a person, the easiest and
the most logical thing to do is to quit. That's exactly what the
majority of people do."—How to Think and Grow Rich
With How to Think and Grow Rich it is generally acknowledged that
author Napoleon Hill influenced the bottom-line success of more
people than almost any other person in modern history.
Born in a one-room cabin, Hill began his career
as a journalist. Steel magnate Andrew Carnegie —then the
richest man in the world—was so impressed with Hill that
he asked the young reporter to develop the world's most comprehensive,
insightful and accessible philosophy of individual achievement.
The project took 20 years for Hill to complete
and involved him accessing the insights of such historical giants
as Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Alexander Bell, Wilbur Wright and
Franklin D. Roosevelt.
The result was a proven formula of clearly delineated
success principles that Hill detailed in Think and Grow Rich.
The book will help you attain far more than the financial riches
many people read into the title, as the "riches" it
speaks of include:
How to most effectively handle criticism (and use it to your great
advantage)
5 definite ways to dramatically increase your self-confidence
How to make your ideas make you happy
The most effective ways for you to eliminate fears for good
How to find harmony in your relationships with others
And then yes, it also does an as-of-yet unsurpassed
job of guiding you to achieve financial prosperity, as well (after
all, it was commissioned by the richest man in the world!)
I think you will also find Hill's health recommendations
right on target!
"You must get involved to have an impact. No one is impressed
with the won-lost record of the referee."—from 'How

"You have the poor with you always."—Jesus
Christ
"For the kingdom of heaven is as
a man travelling into a far country,
who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another
one;
to every man according to his several ability; and straightway
took his journey.
Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with
the same,
and made them other five talents. And likewise he that had received
two,
he also gained other two."—Matthew 25:14-17
"You don't make the poor richer
by making the rich poorer."—Winston Churchill
"A goal is a dream with a deadline."
—from 'How to Think and Grow Rich' by Napoleon Hill
“The worlds are turning . . .
And . . . we believe in miracles.
By the law of the pyramid of lives, some of us need to give more.
Because we are
who we are—I AM WHO I AM—we must lay upon the altar
of this community
of hearts another thousand, or two or three, or five and perhaps
even ten.
By the level of our attainment, so is our obligation (dharma).
“ . . . It was the glorious dharma
of Jesus Christ to pay the price for all of us
for two thousand years. As Paul said, 'Ye are bought with a
price.'
Our Lord paid for us with his life. Now we show the depth of
our appreciation
for his sacrificial path by making it our own and by giving
of ourselves.”

"Let those who are still tethered to the reality of the sweat
of the brow and the work of the hands, those whose minds have
not been taken over by intellectual theories that have no relevance
to the heart or to the practicalities of life come forward then
and begin anew an in-depth probe of the history and the law of
cycles which have governed the economic policies and the consequent
rise and fall of nations. Meanwhile, let those who have made certain
philosophies of economics their religion and their proponents
their gods be deprogrammed from the synthetic self with its synthetic
systems that have never worked and never will work, except to
destroy those who espouse them.
"Let us proceed from the empirical method.
Let us disallow what has not worked and let us allow what does
work. Communism is the dream of the fallen ones who would escape
the consequences of their karma and of their neglect to integrate
with the source of all life and abundance. It is not viable because
it is inconsistent with cosmic law which operates independently
of men's theories or their mockeries of divine justice.
"The manipulation of the free market and
the free governments of nations through monopoly capitalism or
corporate socialism will not work. It destroys individual creativity
and snuffs out the fires of hope that ever rest in the heart of
the individual as the desire to be self-sustaining in God. What
will work? Well, I say, that remains for you to discover. But
I will tell you this—it begins
with the fundamental principle: Whatsoever a man soweth, that
shall he also reap; and its corollary: Whatsoever a man soweth
not, that shall he not reap.
"There are too many people in every walk
of life who still want something for nothing and they are willing
to espouse any economic philosophy that will deliver to them immediate
pleasures and material prosperity. These are not noble hearts
but they whose names go down in history as the ignoble and as
the destroyers of the abundant life of the soul.
"Let the government and the people learn
to live within their means, and let the real value of goods and
services be based upon the theory and the altogether practical
application of the law of the sacred labor performed to the glory
of God who is resident within his humanity.
"Let the value of life rest upon a gold
standard that comes from the golden rule, which is the principle
of the divine economy—do unto
others as you would have them do unto you. This golden rule is
applied to the gold of the heart, the golden wisdom that serves
the needs of the community through love—applied
love that becomes compassion, charity, and the sharing of the
joys of the abundant life with those who entertain the impoverished
sense."

" . . . Collective dominion comes about when the contributing
spirit of the group, the nation, the planet—recognizing all
that it has received from Life—joyously offers itself and
all that it has received to the Great Spirit of Life. At that point
man the individual and man the collective unit ponder the enrichment
of the Real Self and the true mystical identity of the group through
the increase of individual talents."

Friends of Unity—That Magnificent Concept!
The establishment of a unity of world religions through a synthesis
of truth is far off and will remain so unless humanity approach
the grace of God with both an openness of heart and an inner understanding
of the principles of brotherhood. Most men draw nigh to the principle
of brotherly love with their lips, but their heart-of-action is
far from being manifest. With minds full of condemnation and seething
with emotion against one another, they think to approach the throne
of grace.
We are concerned, therefore, with dispelling
confusion by our light drawn from the councils, both Eastern and
Western, of the Great White Brotherhood and with giving forth
those spiritual instructions that will create a clarity of vision
for all. Therefore, we submit herewith our concepts concerning
a current problem that is being blown up out of all proportion
to reality in order to spread abroad violence and confusion.
I refer to the principle of the abundant life
and to the problem, so-called, of economic inequality. There is
a constant din that can be heard in the world, a clamor from those
who have not against those who have. An interesting sidelight
is that the babel of voices for the 'have-nots' and against the
'haves' is being joined by many among the 'upper class' who, in
effect, are
begging their own destruction.
Let me hasten to say that all wealth belongs
to God, that the earth is his, and that he has asked man to take
dominion over it and to share in the practical proof of the principle
of the abundant life. This life is, was, and always will be for
all. Man does not need to create equality; God has
already created it. We call it the equality of opportunity. Those
who are willing to make application sincerely, to study to show
themselves approved unto God <1> and to the wise men of
the world are always able to draw forth supply even to the point
of being able to give generously to others.
The philosophies of Communism and of the supremacy
of the state may thrive on what we will call a false humility,
the wearing of garments of protest and the shunning of more refined
aspects of living. This is the sacrifice of individual self-mastery
to the lowest common denominator of the group karma.
Those who promote these attitudes either do not
understand or they are unwilling to accept the reality that man's
spiritual and real progress does not come from outward sources
but from his own reality and the sense of beauty that he holds
within. There is no sin in the individual accumulation of wealth
or in the manifestation of wealth, for this is a divine privilege
that is given to all. All may live in fine houses, wear fine clothing,
and share in the beauty that creative discipline within an abundant
culture can bring forth.
There is never any need whatsoever for humanity
to turn against one another, as did Cain against Abel, in the
fear that they have not or will not receive an equal share of
the Father's love. All activities of criticism and condemnation
are destructive, and they lead inevitably toward a violent climax.
The way to real peace in the world for every nation, both at home
and abroad, is to amplify the concept of the abundant life.
Peace is best preserved by adhering to the principles
of freedom; for freedom is also tolerant of the thoughts and ideals
of others, even when those thoughts and ideals are based on an
incomplete understanding of the laws of God. But the exercise
of tolerance does forgo for any man his right to attempt—not
by argument, but by an objective presentation of fact—the
correction of his brother's error.
The members of the Great White Brotherhood are
concerned that the principle of harmony be found in operation
upon earth. In order to further that end midst the struggles of
the masses for economic equality, we would point out that for
generations there have been those who have, in effect, taken the
vow of poverty and who have eschewed the accumulation of wealth.
To them poverty itself has become a virtue; on
the other hand, many follow the way of poverty simply because
they are unwilling to make the effort to do a great work in the
world. They lack either the capacity or the will to create for
themselves an abundant life. Both should understand that the laws
of love are best practiced and mastered from within.
We do not condemn those who wish to live in
poverty or those who wish to remain in humble surroundings; rather
we would point out that it is nonattachment that the law requires
of the individual no matter what his station in life—and
this means nonattachment to persons, places, conditions, and things.
Man can be just as attached to his state of poverty as he can
be attached to things, and very often we find that poverty becomes
a "soap box" from which those who 'have not' criticize
those who 'have.'
Those who follow in the steps of the Brotherhood
see all things as belonging to God, and they see themselves as
stewards of his grace. They have, then, no inhibitions as to the
earning of large sums of money and the using of that money for
their fellowmen. They recognize that creativity can harness the
secrets of the universe for the good of all. And they seldom criticize
those who do not have an abundance of this world's goods—those
who espouse poverty or the kind of life that on the surface seems
to be based on a philosophy of nonattachment.
Those who would rise politically in the world
often capitalize on the weaknesses of humanity in order to achieve
their ends; their method is to set one segment of society against
another by using both secular and religious issues to divide and
conquer the minds of men whose hearts are in reality one. This
tactic is often the root and only cause of the underlying social
problems that confront individuals and nations today.
True faith in God is faith in the abundant life.
It should be of no concern to you what your neighbor is able to
gain of this world's goods or even how he employs his gain so
long as it is done honestly. People should rejoice in the abundance
of others as they would rejoice in their own abundance; and they
should see that when men are able to produce abundantly and to
remain in a calm state of good will to all, they not only enjoy
life but also they are able to support institutions and activities
that will sustain and preserve God's beauty on behalf of all men.
The ugliness of the world manifests through
man's criticism of man. Whether that criticism is leveled by an
Eastern yogi against a learned pundit of the East, it can only
degrade, by the downward spiral, the one who engages his energies
in the practice of criticism.
The principle of the abundant life is the principle
of the Great White Brotherhood that keeps the soul open to God
from the top and that enables the flow of reality to beam constantly
into the chalice of the individual lifestream. As the reality
of his True Self becomes more real, he sees in the natural order
of manifestation the inward perfection of the Edenic state that
existed before the fall of his consciousness into the density
of an ego-centered existence.
It is easy, precious ones of the light, to criticize;
but it is even easier to hold the principle of the abundant life
in your consciousness. It is easier to enhance the meaning of
life for others than it is to rob them of their virtue by a constant
damning (condemn-a-tion) of their attitudes and the spiritual
processes which they have evolved.
Be it so that they are surrounded with error;
the purpose of life in the evolutionary stream is the shedding
of error and the mastering of perfection. If you force the issue
you may break the slender thread that is leading them on to the
very truths you would have them accept in your time instead of
in God's time. Man did not come into manifestation in order to
lose his life, but he came to gain all of God-Good.
We who are concerned with the initiation of
each individual are also concerned with the initiation of society.
The total identity of a free society is inextricably interwoven
with the thoughts and ideals of its people. A free society can
rise no higher that the thinking of its best leaders, and these
are constantly being assaulted by the negative concepts of forces
which attempt to tear down all that serves the nobility of the
Christ in the individual and in society. The sense of struggle
must be shed and the windows of life must be opened wide that
the fresh, clean air of the Christ consciousness may renovate
the life process.
We have seen enough of despair, engendered by
those whose own frustrated egos lead them into forms of exhibitionism
that are calculated to raise their personalities into prominence.
We are concerned only with the raising of divine ideas into prominence
and with the exaltation of divine ideas in the minds and hearts
of men, for these are the ideas that will make men free. Hold
on, then, with the very teeth of your being to the principle of
the abundant life; develop God's consciousness of the abundant
life for yourself, expand it until you can clearly see that it
is not the Father's will that man should perish or live in limitation
or lack.
Whether the seeker is a divine poverello as
Saint Francis of old or a businessman of worldly fame and means,
he should seek the correct use of his stewardship <2> and,
above all, he must be ready to accept the possibility that his
personal philosophy, his developed concepts, and his opinions
of long standing may not necessarily be correct. Be willing to
examine truth and beware of the trends spread abroad through the
media that are designed to divide and to confuse the world. 'Pure
religion and undefiled before God and the Father' has been defined
as the visiting of the widows and the orphans and the keeping
of oneself unspotted from the world. <3>
In the sense of the abundant life, let good
works abound; and let these include the purification of the consciousness
so that the corrosions of the world, both secular and religious,
do not disturb the beautiful fruit from the Tree of Life that
God seeks to nourish in every soul. How great he is, and how great
man can be! How abundant and delightful are his hopes and plans
for all of humanity. Let men joyously receive his concept of the
abundant life for all.
Stirred by the needs of the moment, I remain
faithfully

"Is it not recorded that the love of money is the root of
all evil? The summation of the propensity to love money can be
perceived in world commerce and world thought. It is not necessary
that mankind despise that medium of exchange which they have called
money, but rather that they learn its correct use as my Son taught
it two thousand years ago.
"For through the correct use of money mankind
will understand that money is but a little part of the abundance
of God. It is a medium of exchange between nations and peoples,
intended never to be manipulated but always to be expanded as
a breaking of the loaf of God’s substance by the action
of the flame of God-maturity among men, that the crumbs that fall
from the Master’s table should be given to all as a part
of the whole loaf of universal abundance.
"When individuals allow themselves to be
attached to mortal things, when they permit their mind and consciousness
to become involved in elements of human greed until all other
considerations of life are excluded, they will most certainly
lose sight of the abundant Life.
"All fleshly gain should be seen in the
light of the statement 'Naked came I out of my mother’s
womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the
Lord hath taken away.' For unless man understands that all that
can be attached to his being, to his soul, to his individuality
is grace, he will not understand the proper use of either money
or the energies of Life.
"The reason the Brotherhood deems it desirable
to call these matters to the attention of the students at this
time is to avoid their becoming a part of the world struggle for
the control of money and the economies of the nations. Money of
itself would be of little value if men were an hungred and could
find no bread, if they were in need of shelter and could find
no home. What is needed then by all is a correct understanding
of Life and its abundance.
"Some men may ask why it is that I choose
to discourse on the love of money and its effect on monetary releases.
Don’t you see, beloved ones, how important it is to the
evolution of humanity that men understand, not only in words but
also in spirit, the need to establish themselves in God and His
goodness?
"The fashions of the times change and men
are no sooner born than the process of decay sets in. They no
sooner acquire a vast storehouse of worldly wisdom, of nomenclature
and much superficial knowledge of all things than they are borne
from the world to which they have become attached.
"Freedom from the love of money, which is
the root of all evil, will free men from those attachments which
have created such a quantity of discord and darkness in the world.
Furthermore, it will bring to everyone who is able to free himself
from this love, from this attachment, from this grossness, the
refining and ennoblement of his spirit.
"The reason it is so wrong for humanity
to become attached to the love of money is that the quality of
possessiveness of things deprives humanity of the promise of the
Christ “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s
good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Indeed it is God’s
good pleasure to give to mankind all dominion, all power, and
all glory once he has demonstrated his willingness to use these
gifts as a wise steward of the grace of God.
"In gazing at the record of mankind’s
doings through the ages, ever and anon the love of money has shown
its ugly head as the serpentine force which creates in the labyrinth
of human life those tortuous movements which enslave mankind the
world around.
"Thus the love of money prevents mankind
from entering into the kingdom simply because the very things
that God would so gladly give to all are denied to the many because
this or that one desires to keep, to retain, to hold in esteem
the things of the world above the things of the kingdom of God."

earmarks of the misuse and misqualification of the Divine Mother
in these gambling houses, in these places where people come for
sensual pleasure.
"For through the gambling entity and all
else that ensues around it, controlled by the money
beast and often by organized crime, there is the stealing of the
light of the base chakra and its channeling therefore into the
fallen ones of the earth. For that which one surrenders to the
money beast and the gambling entity may not be returned to that
individual, for it is lost.
"Thus, the sign of the cosmic cross of white
fire does portend and foretell even at inner levels to every soul
of this city that one cannot serve the Divine Mother and the Moloch
of human greed.
"Therefore, beloved, choose ye this day
whether to enter the fiery coil of the ascension of the Divine
Mother (and therefore to deprive those vultures of the astral
plane of their booty, who wait to take your light) and thus to
focus within your being a counterforce of ascension’s rising
flame that thereby the momentum of gambling may not spread further
throughout the nations of the earth, fed and fueled by the money
beast and the rationalization
" 'Let us do evil that good may come; let
us use the funds for state projects and education,' all feeding
again and again upon the credulity, the wishful thinking that
one can acquire attainment by Lady Luck—or
whether to go the way of the squandering of the Divine Mother’s
light and abundant life within you!
"Blessed ones, the Divine Mother Fortuna
herself, Goddess of Supply, Lakshmi in Eastern terms, does give
both abundance and light, does take nothing from you but allows
you to raise up that which is pure and perfect."

The Enfolding Mantle of the Cosmic Flame
Rex
Out of the depths of the supreme strength
flows into the consciousness of man the realization that all things
are prepared for him by God, that the universe is a haven of beauty,
a haven of loveliness, a haven of strength, that man cannot flee
from it, that all that is, is everywhere apparent when one's eyes
are opened.
I remember long ago when my own eyes were opened
and I saw for the first time clearly into the tremulous ethers that
were everywhere a display case for the grace of God. Radiant with
light, sparkling like jewels in their splendor, the understanding
of heaven flowed. It flowed into my consciousness as the tides of
a great sea, until at last I came to realize that in this realm
of the Eternal, every grace and every lovely thing that I had formerly
thought was a manifestation of the world of nature was in reality
first of all a manifestation of the Eternal Spirit; and in this
flow, a great tide into the world of form, was the love of God encasing
all.
Why, then, did hatred, darkness and despair exist
in the world? Solely because of the negative emotions of the world,
of the negative emotions of individuals, of their lack of faith
in the grace of God everywhere readily apparent in the natural order.
And the splendor of it all came into my consciousness as the
tide of the sea in that precious moment, beloved ones, when the
dawn of God's light began to show me the mysteries of God as reality,
as strength, and as fortitude.
Then as the flame of new courage was formed within
me, I saw clearly that hopelessness was the lot of many, that they
were in despair because of many things. They were concerned about
the length of their life; they were concerned about the quality
of their previous life, of the life to come. They were wondering
just how there would be dispensed to them the very lotion of heaven's
abundance. And suddenly I saw it all as the possession of every
man! And yet man did not realize it. He was so easily distracted
and turned aside from the goals of his victory! But at that moment
defeat seemed far from me, because I was imbued with the consciousness
of the flow of God's light, of his strength, of his natural planning
in the natural order for the destiny of man.
And as I was captivated by all of this, I could
scarcely even breathe a thought of negativity or darkness. It seemed
everything was light; and those who say that darkness is merely
the canvas on which light is projected did not even seem relevant
to my mind. For I began to realize that light had a quality of abundance
within itself, that it did not need to be reflected upon darkness
as a medium of contrast; for it had its own forte of brilliance
and variety and variegation within itself.
At that moment I saw the sparkling splendor of
all of the jewels of heaven manifesting to me the consciousness
of the abundant life. And as I saw it all, I began to understand
why this great hunger for God within me had arisen. I perceived
that it was natural—a calling-back of old memories and old
victories that were resident within the soul itself. And here was
I, a fragment of the great God Self, being given all of this grace
to externalize in the miniature realm of my outer self, of my consciousness.
And I said: "Oh, let the rings expand! Let
the rings expand! Let the rings break out-break the iron bands that
have confined me—give me my freedom to think and to be as
God is! If the container will not hold him, I must enlarge the container
until at last I am able to hold all of God and to be swallowed up
gladly for him and for humanity." For all are one, and the
victory of one is the victory of all, and the victory of all is
the victory of one. And when men understand this and perceive the
nature of it, then, you see, they are no longer concerned so much
by the trivialities that otherwise often bring them much distress
of consciousness and a hindrance of their very moving forward on
the spiritual path into the victory of their ascension.
But now the ascension seemed to me to be a blessing
of reality. The ascension seemed near at hand. The dawn of victory
seemed near at hand, for all was captivated in the idea of the expansion
of cosmic grace. And I began anew. I began anew to take, first of
all, courage in the gesture that God could do this for me, in me,
that God in me was all-victorious, that God in me was as strong
as he was in the universe, that God in me was not limited, that
God in me could expand as the God in all, that out of this flow
was born the alchemy of cosmic change, that I must trample upon
those qualities in myself that were nonvirtuous and I must change
those qualities until they resembled the God Self.
And a spirit of discipline was born in me! And
a spirit of determination was born in me! And a new idea came into
my mind that I could win my victory, that I could make my ascension
in the light. And from that hour, I tell you, it never stopped!
For with the dawn of this understanding through the personal experience,
each individual is able at last to meet all of the challenges of
his existence-and meet them well. We are able then today to confide
in you as we are doing and to bring you the spirit of absolute certainty.
Some of you may have wondered why I should have
ever been given the appellation "Rex." <1> Perhaps
you understand it now as the crown; for the crown is his and the
crown is every man's, and in this sense we could receive it and
acknowledge it. And we acknowledge it in this sense today, for the
crown is God. And I say to every young man—as
one who was a young man and who is a young man eternally—that
we do not need to stop and stand pat upon some worldly idea or concept
of limitation. We can cast it down and scorn it even as we admire
the grace of God that is so readily given to us if we are ready
to accept it. It is so much a matter of acceptance.
I say to all of you, if you will accept it in
your feeling world, if you will accept it in your mental world,
if you will accept it in your heart of hearts and in your physical
consciousness and even in your cell consciousness, if you will evoke
for yourself this alchemy of change, I am sure we can change the
world. The quality of time may be needed, but I assure you that
we can hasten the day as you accept the faith of the great release
to you today of the power of your own God Presence. From that Presence
flows out a mighty tide of light, a tide of faith, a tide of strength.
This is eternal! Like a ribbon of light, it flows through the darkness
and cuts it! It yields! The darkness yields to the power of the
light, and the ribbon of light becomes as your own great cord of
light connecting you to the heart of your God Presence.
Will you recognize, then, that you have an absolute
responsibility to expand your light in the God direction? Do you
understand that this is the only way you should go? To go in another
direction is to actually forfeit your birthright momentarily. And
one cannot always be certain of future opportunity, for opportunity
comes momentarily and must be grasped. Those who grasp it gain talents;
those who reject it may in the maelstrom of human experience find
themselves drowned and oppressed, unfortunately in some cases never
to rise again.
But the path upward is not easy, you say. I tell
you, the hardest part of the path upward is just before your victory.
But if you will only understand that the flow of God's light into
your world can give you your victory, then I think you will no longer
allow yourself to entertain the very thoughts of defeat! By a positive
attitude of mind and heart, you will resurrect in yourself those
overcoming victories of the Spirit that in ages past existed and
in this age exist alive and well in you.
Will you accept it? Will you resurrect in yourself
the new consciousness of absolute faith in your Creator and in the
power of the ascended masters to guide you to your God-victory?
Will you accept this power and the pressure from on high that is
designed to give you every assistance at this moment of your need?
If you will, I am sure that the onward path will loom before you
and your victory will be closer in view.
As a bouquet from higher realms, I have given
you my words and my love. And I give it to every young man and every
young woman and I give it to every older person. Let all men and
women understand that it is their gift. They may, if they will,
make it their own. Only the person, by his doubts and the refusal
to accept it, can be the hindering force that opposes his destiny.
Before you the great looms of life stand! The
fabric of the cloth spun from pure light is before you. Weave the
great garment of solar light that you may become children of the
sun! Clothe yourself with this great garment of invisibility and
know that it will be the enfolding mantle of the cosmic flame guarding
you and guiding you to the realm of your eternal victory! I thank
you.
The above dictation by Rex was dictated to the messenger Mark L.
Prophet at the Retreat of the Resurrection Spiral on January 24,
1971.

“Give Until It Hurts”
The Blind Angel
An Hasidic Tale from Nineteenth-Century Eastern Europe
Reprinted from Gabriel’s Palace: Jewish Mystical Tales
by Howard Schwartz
Among the Hasidim of Reb Mordecai of Chernobyl
was Rabbi Eliakim, a merchant of great wealth and a collector of
rare and precious religious objects. So wealthy was Reb Eliakim
that he even owned his own scroll of the Torah, which was prominently
displayed in an Ark that had been built into one wall of his living
room.
Once Reb Mordecai came to pay him a visit, and
Reb Eliakim was beside himself with joy, proudly showing off his
precious objects to his rabbi. And each time Reb Mordecai seemed
pleased by a particular object, Reb Eliakim had it wrapped and placed
in a crate for the rabbi to take back with him.
Before long the crate was almost filled with silver
goblets, embroidered matzah and challah covers, and other precious
treasures of Reb Eliakim, and at last the rabbi rose to take his
leave, thanking Reb Eliakim for his generosity. At that moment the
rabbi’s eye fell on a beautiful antique silver menorah, which
was one of Reb Eliakim’s most prized possessions. For a long
time the rabbi stared at that menorah, and Reb Eliakim and everyone
else clearly saw that he desired it, yet Reb Eliakim could not bring
himself to offer it, for it was a priceless heirloom.
Finally it was the Rabbi of Chernobyl who broke
the silence, asking, as a special favor, for the silver menorah.
Everyone watched Reb Eliakim closely, for they knew how much he
prized that menorah, and they saw that he was struggling with himself.
At last Reb Eliakim ordered his servant to wrap the menorah, place
it with the other gifts, and carry the crate to the rabbi’s
carriage.
When they returned home, the rabbi had the crate
opened, and displayed all of the gifts he had received from Reb
Eliakim except for the silver menorah, which was kept in storage.
His Hasidim did not understand why he had asked for it or why he
did not display it, but they dared not question the rabbi.
Time passed, and Reb Eliakim took his leave of
this world, and eventually the episode of the silver menorah was
forgotten. Ten years later, on the eve of Hanukah, Reb Mordecai
had the menorah brought out of storage and prepared for lighting.
As the flames burned brightly, reflected in the polished silver
of the menorah, Reb Mordecai told his Hasidim a tale.
“This menorah once belonged to Reb Yosef
David, who was a rich man for most of his life but then fell upon
hard times. Reb Eliakim desired this menorah for many years and
often tried to purchase it, but no matter how much he offered, Reb
Yosef David refused to sell it, for this menorah had been in his
family for many generations. However, when his situation grew desperate,
Reb Yosef David went to Reb Eliakim for a loan. Reb Eliakim agreed
to give him a generous loan, with the silver menorah to serve as
security. But when the loan was due, Reb Yosef David could not repay
it, and thus he had to relinquish the menorah to Reb Eliakim.
“Now, as we know from Reb Pinhas of Koretz,
every good deed creates an angel. But if a deed is imperfect, it
produces an imperfect angel. In giving Reb Yosef David a loan, Reb
Eliakim did a good deed, and therefore an angel came into being.
However, because his intentions were not completely pure, Reb Eliakim’s
angel was blind.
“After his death, Reb Eliakim was brought
before the heavenly court. His good deeds and bad deeds were weighed,
and they balanced exactly. All at once the blind angel took its
place on the right side of the scale, and it tipped in Reb Eliakim’s
favor. Seeing this, the heavenly court ruled that Reb Eliakim might
be permitted to enter Paradise, but since his margin was so narrow,
he would have to be led there by the blind angel.
“Ever since, Reb Eliakim and the blind angel
have wandered, and his soul has found no rest. For the blind angel
could not find the way to Paradise. And without some special merit,
he would have remained a wandering soul for many years to come.
But tonight the light of this menorah reached all the way to the
upper world, restoring the angel’s sight. Now, at last, the
angel has been able to lead the soul of Reb Eliakim to his resting
place in Paradise.
“Now you know why, long ago, I asked Reb
Eliakim for his menorah. For it was the merit of this gift that
he needed in order to repair the eyesight of the angel. I never
used it until now, as I was waiting for the right moment. Last night,
I saw Reb Eliakim, led by the blind angel, in a dream. From this
I knew that they were close, and tonight, as the flames ascended,
that they were passing over. And now Reb Eliakim is basking in the
sacred light of Paradise.”

"There exists in the economy and
course of nature, an indissoluble union between virtue and happiness;
between duty and advantage; between the genuine maxims of an honest and
magnanimous policy, and the solid rewards of public prosperity and felicity;
since we ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of Heaven
can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of
order and right, which Heaven itself has ordained."—George
Washington
"All the property that is necessary
to a Man, for the Conservation of the Individual and the Propagation of
the Species, is his natural Right, which none can justly deprive him of:
But all
Property superfluous to such purposes is the Property of the Publick,
who, by their Laws, have created it, and who may therefore by other laws
dispose of it, whenever the Welfare of the Publick shall demand such Disposition.
He that does not like civil Society on these Terms, let him retire and
live among Savages. He can have no right to the benefits of Society, who
will not
pay his Club towards the Support of it."—Benjamin
Franklin
"The principle of spending money to be paid
by posterity, under the name of funding, is but swindling futurity on
a large scale."—Thomas Jefferson
"As riches increase and accumulate
in few hands, as luxury prevails in society, virtue will be in a greater
degree considered as only a graceful appendage of wealth, and the tendency
of things will be to depart from the republican standard. This is the
real disposition of human nature; it is what neither the honorable member
nor myself can correct. It is a common misfortunate that awaits our State
constitution, as well as all others."—Alexander
Hamilton (speech to the New York Ratifying Convention, June 1788)
"The source of all abundance is not outside
you. It is part of who you are.
"However, start by acknowledging and recognizing abundance without.
See the fullness of life all around you. The warmth of the sun on
your skin, the display of magnificent flowers outside a florist's
shop, biting into a succulent fruit, or getting soaked in an abundance
of water falling from the sky. The fullness of life is there at every
step. The acknowledgment of that abundance that is all around you
awakens the dormant abundance within. Then let it flow out.
"When you smile at a stranger, there
is already a minute outflow of energy.
"You become a giver. Ask yourself often: 'What can I give here;
how can I be of service to this person, this situation?' You don't
need to own anything to feel abundant, although if you feel abundant
consistently things will almost certainly come to you. Abundance
comes only to those who already have it. It sounds almost unfair,
but of course it isn't. It is a universal law.
"Both abundance and scarcity are inner states that manifest
as your reality.
"Jesus put it like this: 'For to the one who has, more will
be given, and from the one who has not, even what he has will be
taken away'."—Eckhart Tolle, "A New Earth"
